Air Decontamination & Remediation

Whilst both of these options are effective, if you do not fix the source of your moisture issue, they will become temporary measures and your issues may reappear.

This is why as part of Airbourne Building Solutions comprehensive Mould assessment, inspection and report, we offer a visual assessment to identify possible moisture issues in your building.

We can customise our assessments to your requirements.

The chemicals we use our non-toxic and safe to use with your family and pets in mind. These chemicals have been highly scrutinised and successfully proven.

For peace of mind, we offer post sampling after any remediation work that was not initially done by us.

Step 1.  (non-invasive)

This method is used for the decontamination procedure which will kill the existing surface and airborne mould spores immediately. Depending on the situation, this will generally provide a window of safety to enable continued use of the premises whilst the remediation works are planned and undertaken.

Step 2. (invasive)

This method is used for the decontamination when required for abundant and toxic or highly allergenic mould species.  These toxic species can thrive in roof and wall cavities. this method will professional removal of materials, chemical decontamination and allow preparation of a safe site for remedial works. there is a wide range of decontamination options are available to cover inaccessible space in roof and wall cavities and air condiseners.

Mould Remediation

With mould remediation it all depends on what building materials are affected and the class and category of water damage that has been recorded. This will provide the necessary information on whether the affected building materials should be remediated, discarded or replaced.

The six steps to Mould Remediation (IICRC guidelines) are as follows:-

 1.  Document conditions and work practices.

 2. Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed.

 3. Identify source of moisture issue and provide suggestions to resolve.

 4. Set up containment to prevent the spread of fungal particulate.

 5. Remove contaminated building materials.

 6. Post sampling to be conducted by independent environmental expert.
